East London based design agency 'here.' have come up with a selection of gentrified accessories that talk to the Hendrick's drinker. This subtle reworking of a classic drink (gin infused with cucumber and rose) and here's attention to detail, focus and pure understanding of the Hendrick's consumer results in a coherant story that is masculine, classic, confident, beautiful ...and ever so British. Marwood packaging has to be as considered as this - a tie in a giftbox will take on a new meaning.

Brace Yourself

I picked up a precious packet from the vintage shop 'Hunky Dory' on Brick Lane this weekend containing some shoe braces. I didn't even know shoes ever needed braces. The packaging, the type used, the elastic quality and general design was inspiring for Marwood packaging ideas... however my rain soaked paper bag containing the braces broke on the way home and so I lost them. Damn it. This image will hold a spot for the moment.

Dean Chalkley's New Faces

London based Photographer Dean Chalkley's new exhibition is calling... I need to go and check it out at the Book Club and see this sharp style in print. The look is more apt for a label like SIMON SPURR than Marwood, due to the '60s vibe but it's appreciated all the same. Looking forward to posting some pictures from Emilie Bailey soon as well... (who previously assisted Dean for years).
