We popped in to see the lovely Kuni at b Store last week and handed over some new stock (not pictured). We had a nose around and took some snaps of Marwood in store... our first and favourite home of all. Looking forward to seeing the bStore crew all set up in their new store on Kingly Street as of today.

Marwood Studio
We showed some visitors the Marwood collection today in our Dalston studio. The studio is not really equipped to be a showroom but it scrubbed up pretty well.
This last photo shows a nice glimpse of the lovely shot taken by Stefan Heinrichs and styled by David St John-James in the latest issue of PORT magazine.

Gerhard Richter Inspiration
Most inspiring exhibition we have seen in London for a long time. Currently showing at the TATE. Wonderful.
Seeing Richter's painting (above) of a stormy horizon made us think of Jasper Clarke's series 'New Horizons' which we are lucky to own a print of (below). Wishing him luck for this week as he is a finalist in the Taylor Wessing Photgraphic Portrait Prize 2011. Fingers crossed for you!Friday, 14 October 2011

GQ reviews Marwood's Fashion East Installation...
We loved Marwood's autumn/winter offering and their spring/summer collection was even better. Alongside a collection of Britsh-made ties in bold colours and patterns (zig-zag stripes were prominent), we particularly liked the tasselled summer scarves.

Marwood Mannequins by Russell Weekes
Marwood's installation at Somerset House this season needed to consider the presentation of our new lace scarves. These accessories are different to ties and bows in that they need to be shown as they could be worn. Art Director Russell Weekes came up with the perfect idea to save us using generic bust forms. It was great to see all these collected objects that fill the Marwood studio being put to good use as well.

Marwood launches scarf collection at London Fashion Week.
We have extended the Marwood offer to include scarves made from our favourite English lace. It seemed a waste to just limit the use of this specialist lace to neckties so we ventured to Sicily at the beginning of the summer, took a bundle of geometric and mesh lace in a few shades and used their wonderful facilities and expert hands to create these scarves that are finished with brightly coloured silk tassles - each one hand knotted in place.

Greg Cox Furniture - now showing at TENT LONDON show
We love Greg's furniture and have used his segmented sideboard that is a wonderful mix of old oak and white formica surfaces to display Marwood ties in both of our Fashion East installations. We popped in and saw his stacked tea trays ready to take to Tent London show at the truman brewery this weekend... each one stamped and ready for good homes. Hope the show goes well Greg.

On Wednesday, Marwood's latest collection for S/S '12 was presented as part of Fashion East's installations for London Fashion Week. It was a successful day with positive feedback and meeting lots of nice people. Great to see some familiar faces amongst the visitors too.
Thanks to Callum Toy who recorded the event - reliable as ever he produced a lovely set of snaps. More to come as well...
