Peter Doig

The Marwood studio is ready for summer now.

These paintings by Scottish born artist, Peter Doig say British summertime to us... although we have realised it is a typically British image... being that it's abroad. The paintings are of the Lapeyrouse Wall in Trinidad where the artist found a home away from home. All the same, the colours and ambiance just sum it all up... easy, long, hazy summer strolls under cloud patched skies. Lovely. Maybe we should forget the idea of the still life shoot and capture the SS12 lookbook here with easy tailoring, open collars and silk ties that look like cotton, feel like jersey and don't feel too precious for such occasions? Not a likely trip but the ties can happen all the same.
